***Video Music Box Debut!!!
Mr. Beatz's video for "Plain and Simple" makes its debut on the legendary Video Music Box show with Ralph McDaniels. Any Hip Hop fan from the Tri-state area (New York, New Jersey or Connecticut) can tell you that Ralph McDaniels' Video Music Box show is legendary and has helped blow up many of the great artists that we know of today. The show just celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2008 making it the longest running Hip Hop video show. It's always been known to us in the Tri-state area as the only place for finding true, raw Hip Hop videos. Having a video of mine aired by "uncle" Ralph on the show is an honor that's indescribable. In fact, that's definitely an understatement. That gives me the feeling that my video is OFFICIAL since I now have his approval. Shout out to Ralph McDaniels for the support!
In addition to having my video played on this legendary show, I also have cameos in 2 other videos that are in rotation on the show at the moment. You can see me in M-Tri's video for "1998 (Take You Back)" and in Homeboy Sandman's video for "Lightning Bolt". That's a lot of airtime for seeing Mr. Beatz's grill on the screen lolol.

Mr. Beatz's video for "Plain and Simple" remains on Blastro.com's Hip Hop Top 100 Chart at #26 in its 4th week with over 50,000 views!!! The video first entered the chart at #28 has since remained on the chart beating out major label artists such as Lil Wayne, Snoop, N.E.R.D., The Game, David Banner, etc. I'm one of the very FEW independent artists on the list up against these major label cats with huge budgets. As I've said many times in the past...if true Hip Hop is promoted correctly many people will flock to it regardless of all the "other" stuff on the radio nowadays.
*Also, note my homie M-Tri at #24 in his 2nd week on the list in which I also have a cameo!

New Mr. Beatz video for "Plain and Simple", produced by The Avid Record Collector OUT NOW!!! The video was directed by Mark Carranceja of Noisemaker Media.
This is Mr. Beatz's debut video and is the first of 3 to be released from his forthcoming album that is scheduled for a late 2009 release. The video also includes cameos from fellow MCs Solomon Jazz, M-Tri, DVS, and Cee-Rock the Fury (also my dude Chunk and Lisa Munoz). Shout out to 2 other dope fellow MCs Homeboy Sandman and Tah Phrum Dah Bush who also came through, but didn't appear in the final version of the video due to time restraints during filming. "Plain and Simple" was mostly filmed at the infamous graffiti spot in Long Island City called 5 Pointz (shout out to Meres who runs that spot!). If you are in the 5 boroughs or anywhere nearby in NY and haven't been to this spot you NEED to take the time to pass thru because the graffiti is sick over there and takes up 2 whole blocks! Filming the video there was a great experience. The other location used for the video was a little spot in Greenpoint, Brooklyn where there was a wall full of graffiti. In fact, if you look above at the frame of the video you'll see me standing in front of a corner of 2 walls of graffiti and that is one of the shots at Greenpoint.
Any artists who are looking to have quality video work done should consider contacting Mark Carranceja of Noisemaker Media. He's a great and easy director to work with and has VERY cheap rates for the type of work he does. Another thing about working with him is that he is a true Hip Hop head. This alone is a big plus because you would be working with someone who is not only great at the film work he does, but also understands what you are trying to bring to the table from a music perspective since he can fully relate to what you're trying to do. Tell him Mr. Beatz sent you!
